Liam Barrows

Congratulations to Liam Barrows, our August 2023 Rising Star!

Liam was nominated by Carre Klein, who had the following to say:

"I would like to nominate my student  William (Liam) Barrows for the rising star. He is a 5th grader at Elkhorn Valley Schools in Tilden. He is using communication breakdown strategies we have practiced if he doesn't understand what he heard in the classroom. He gets excited to attend our deaf/hard of hearing activities to meet other students with a hearing difference; and learn from Deaf or hard of hearing adult role models. He is eager to learn about the parts of his ear, more about his hearing difference, and about famous deaf or hard of hearing people. He is a rising star in my book."
