Myka Murrell

Congratulations to Myka Murrell, our May 2024 Rising Star!

Myka was nominated by Alyse Krejdl who had the following to say:

"Myka possesses many amazing characteristics. She is determined and resilient; once she sets her mind to something, she doesn't give up until she accomplishes it. When asked about a moment she felt proud of herself, she recounted the first time she independently put on her seat belt. This achievement required practice and patience, and she felt immense pride when her efforts paid off.

When asked about one of the biggest challenges she has overcome, she mentioned attending Camp Sonshine for the first time. Although nerve-racking in the beginning, Myka's ability to push through uncomfortable situations led to a wonderful experience. She recounted the difficulty she faced while swimming, as she had to ensure her hearing aids remained dry. Despite these challenges, Myka's determination prevailed.

Looking to the future, Myka aspires to become a veterinarian and dreams of owning a German Shepherd. With her determination and resilience, there is no doubt that Myka will accomplish anything she sets her mind to."
