Cassie Uecker

Hi! My name is Cassie Uecker. I live in Lincoln with my husband, Jared, and our two kids, Crosby and Felix. Crosby is 5 years old and was diagnosed with bilateral, sensorineural, profound deafness at 20 months after initially failing his newborn screening but passing an ABR at 6 weeks. He now has cochlear implants, and is doing great, as he continues to work on listening and speech. He is smart, hardworking, silly, and just the sweetest kid. Felix is 3 and has typical hearing. She’s our little firecracker, full of personality, and always keeping us on our toes. 

Navigating Crosby’s hearing journey has been full of learning, growth, and unexpected joys. I’m excited to provide an avenue for families as they navigate this new club they never expected to be a part of, helping them find connection, confidence, and celebration in every milestone—because while it may be different, it’s also something truly special.
