Kelsey Maas
My name is Kelsey Maas. I am originally from central Nebraska and now live in Blair and I work as a Recruiter at our local hospital. My husband and I have one daughter, Kate, who is 3 years old. Kate has right side Microtia and Atresia, which includes unilateral hearing loss. She [sometimes] wears a bone conducting hearing aid. We have no history of Microtia/Atresia or any types of hearing impairment on either side of our families, so it was quite a surprise at birth to notice that one of her ears was different. We have learned a lot since then and I am passionate about learning more and helping other new parents navigate and embrace hearing differences. This is why I’m excited to be a Parent Guide!
