Kate Hentzen

Kate and her husband, Jay live in the Omaha metro area. They have two boys, Luke and Milo. Luke, their oldest, has typical hearing and Milo, their youngest, has profound bilateral hearing loss. They learned about Milo's hearing loss shortly after his birth when he failed his newborn hearing screening, which was a huge surprise. Right after his first birthday Milo underwent surgery and received bilateral cochlear implants. Milo really took to his implants and is doing amazingly well. Kate joined Hands and & Voices and has loved meeting other families with D/HH kids, getting support from other parents, and meeting many wonderful new people.
